Working as a self employed carer?
What is Youchoosecare?
Youchoosecare is an on demand platform for self-employed carers to find local care work. When an individual request care, we notify nearby carers through our app that "Client A" needs assistance. A carer can then choose to either accept or decline the request.
The benefits of being a self-employed carer
One of the greatest perks is the flexibility it offers. As a self-employed carer, you have the freedom to set your own hours and choose the job requests you want to accept, allowing for a better work-life balance.
Youchoosecare offers the potential to earn more compared to working for an agency or employer. You can increase your income based on the number of jobs you complete, with our platform currently offering a rate of £13.79 per hour. Although Youchoosecare is a newly established business, we are committed to increasing carers' earnings as we continue to grow.
Our app creates the opportunity to build a strong relationship with clients. You might find several clients to work for on a regular basis.

Self-employed carers can reduce their tax bill by claiming expenses against their income. This allows you to pay less in taxes, resulting in more disposable income.
